Sometimes we have to work under pressure ...

... so why not put some pressure on the Bode 100 we thought by ourselves. After contemplating a little bit more we came to the decision that the pressure needs to be applied in a "stylish" way.  Therefore we decided to pick a beautiful spot in the near vicinity of our development center and drive a vehicle onto the Bode 100 while it is performing a live measurement.

The location

In the wonderful municipality of Röns we found the perfect place for our photo shooting. With 1.44 km² it is Vorarlbergs smallest village in terms of area. Röns is a quite calm and idyllic place which has only about 300 inhabitants but it has one big advantage: if you walk through the village it seems like everybody has an own tractor beside his car. So we took this chance and went to Röns to organize a tractor.

The tractor

We asked a proud tractor owner if he would borrow us his wonderful Hela Diesel D 112 for the shooting. The weight of this tractor is over 1000 kg and it was manufactured in 1956. As you see, we chose a real old-timer. Unfortunately the battery was not in best condition and we needed a few jump starts. But apart from that the tractor ran perfectly.

Performing the stunt

Andreas volunteered to drive the Hela. But the tractor is more than 50 years old and therefore it wasn´t that easy as he expected. At the beginning we wanted to measure while Andi was driving onto the Bode 100 but we found out that this would be impossible.

Not for the Bode 100, oh no, one ton of steel does not stop the Bode 100  from performing, but it was a huge challenge to steer such an old, shaking vehicle onto a 20 cm² device on the bumpy meadow, without driving over our Tablet PC and battery pack which powered the Bode 100. We decided to drive first onto the Bode 100 itself and afterwards we started the measurement.

In the end of the day we drove the tractor about 15 times over the Bode 100 and if we do not take into consideration some countrified smelling bull shit stains on its housing it looks like new. Since the used Bode still provides excellent measurement results we plan to use it as well for our next stunt.
