Bode 100 Hands-On Workshops in Houston, TX

The Bode 100 is a very versatile and multifunctional measurement device. The new Bode Analyzer Suite 3.11 adds a high variety of new functions and further improves the outstanding usability of the Bode 100. To ensure that you can get the most out of your Bode 100 for your applications we are offering the following four modules during our hands-on workshops in Houston, TX:

Module 1: How to benefit best from the new Bode Analyzer Suite V3.11

In this module, you get an overview how the Bode Analyzer Suite 3.11 can help you to speed up your measurement tasks. It provides you an overview on newly introduced measurement modes, and new functions such as Cursor linking or Resonance frequency and Q-factor measurements. Further on, an overview on available accessories and their application is provided.

Module 2: Hands-on impedance measurement workshop

The new Bode Analyzer Suite V3.11 offers 7 different methods to measure impedances. In this Hands-On workshop, you will learn which method is best for your application. At five demo stations, you will measure: 

  • MilliOhms with the Shunt-Thru method
  • MegaOhms with the Series-Thru method
  • DC-biased capacitance
  • DC-biased inductance 
  • Resonance frequency and Q-factor of RFID chips

One of the core applications for Bode 100 is the characterization of DC/DC converters and voltage regulators. After a short theoretical introduction, you will focus on the following topics & measurements:

  • Choosing the right injection point and injection level 
  • Choosing the right injection voltage level 
  • Stability of voltage feedback loops (incl. PFC stability) 
  • Stability of current feedback loops 
  • Input impedance of power supplies (filter stability) 
  • Output impedance 
  • Non-invasive Stability measurement
  • PSRR

Module 4: Hands-on “bring your own board” session

In this session, you get the chance to characterize your own board by performing the measurements introduced in the Hands-On Power Supply Characterization Workshop. Please do not forget to bring your own equipment to power your board as well as a suitable load.
